The radio and television of Slovakia has gained the highlight rights to the popular European leagues for its sports circuit Sport.
“For three years, RTVS has won the highlight rights to the biggest European football competitions – the Champions League, the Spanish La Liga, the German Bundesliga and the Italian Serie A,” the institution confirmed.
It should be emphasized that these are not classic matches that will continue to be on the Nova Sport and Premier Sport channels. RTVS managed to get some of the most beautiful moments from elite football competitions.
“Spectators can look forward to highlights from the Champions League football matches as well as 50-minute magazines from the matches of the Spanish La Liga, the German Bundesliga and the Italian Serie A. The best moments from the four competitions
RTVS Sport will offer 83 highlights from the Champions League, 95 magazines from La Liga as well as 95 magazines from Serie A and 85 magazines from the Bundesliga. The three remaining competitions will also be highlights – albeit in the form of a magazine.
“In addition, of course, we have the rights to live broadcasts from the next 2 seasons of the European League and the European Conference League, as well as to matches of Slovak football teams in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League and two other European competitions. This really gives a premium mosaic of top television football content, “said Matej Hajko, director of the RTVS sports section.
Marcel Merčiak added that one of the priorities of Sport was to bring the Champions League in any format that is attractive to spectators. He welcomed that cuts from other leagues would also be added to the new channel.
