France reduces the interval between the second and third dose of COVID-EU vaccines

France is reducing the interval between the second and third coronavirus vaccinations from five to four months, French Prime Minister Jean Castex said today. The measure comes into force in January, BTA reported.

As part of efforts to combat the spread of the coronavirus, authorities have banned all major public celebrations and pyrotechnic performances on New Year’s Eve.

France has restricted travel from Britain

Authorities also recommend that vaccinated people test themselves before reuniting with relatives for family celebrations for Christmas and New Year.

France is experiencing a fifth wave of coronavirus infection and expects the Omicron option to be dominant early next year.
