The solidarity check of the Fils d’or

Every Friday, the association Aux fils d’or offers a meal to the public. Cooking and sewing are, in fact, the specialties of the workshops that it runs for its members to learn, experiment or improve its practices. “Every month, we organize a partnership meal which has the dual objective of bringing together, in a friendly and shared moment, the local actors in the field, the people who want it, and to help the association financially”, explains Faiza Leshaf, the president. But, during the Telethon weekend, for which Nîmes was one of the eight French cities in the spotlight, Aux Fils d’Or wanted to make its contribution. “

The profits from the meal on November 26th were therefore paid in full to the Telethon. “We offered a meal to be taken on site in our dining room and also take-away meals for those who preferred this formula”, adds Habiba Bendjelidjel the coordinator. About fifty meals were sold for € 10, including about thirty on site.

Elected officials of the City of Nîmes, part of the teaching team of the Paul-Marcelin school, medical students, joined the public to taste samosas, chorba, makrout, and finish with mint tea.
