One of the two founders of the brokerage house ABG Sundal Collier died on Friday.
The death is confirmed by chairman Knut Brundtland of ABG Sundal Collier.
– I received the message two hours ago. It is sad for us at ABG that one of our founders has now passed away. He was one of those who helped create the Norwegian brokerage industry, Brundtland told Nettavisen on Friday afternoon.
The cause of death is unknown, but Sundal has been open about his health problems. As early as 2003, a tumor was discovered in Sundal that pressed against the meninges.
– By chance, a tumor was discovered, which was pressing on the nerves on the meninges. The tumor was alive. When it encapsulates itself, it goes well, but when it does the opposite, pushes itself outwards, you have no control and it goes beyond the balance, Sundal stated in an interview with the magazine Capital in March this year.

Bought back
This company was established in 2001 as a merger of the Norwegian brokerage house Sundal Collier and the Swedish ABG Securities.
Just before the big stock market crash in October 1987, Sundal and Collier sold the company to the major bank HSBC, before buying it back in 1992. In 1995, he chose to quit as a stockbroker and resigned from the company he founded.
At most, Sundal had a personal fortune of several hundred million kroner.
