The extension and cohesion of the value chain, in the special ‘Canary Islands Destination Strategy’ | Radio Club Tenerife

The Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands has designed a strategy to attract long-term travelers, including so-called ‘silver’ travelers, ‘remote workers’ or sports tourism. With it, the aim is to achieve higher tourist spending and longer stays.

In total, for the promotion between these three segments, the Government of the Canary Islands will invest a joint item of 1.5 million euros in 2022. One of the objectives of attracting these new segments is to reduce dependence on air connectivity. If spending per traveler increases, such a large number of tourists will not be necessary to achieve the same benefit.

On all these issues we will delve into a new special program on the radio stations of Radio Club Tenerife, SER Las Palmas, Radio La Palma and SER Lanzarote on the “extension and cohesion of the value chain”, in the special ‘Strategy Canarias Destino’.
