According to him, all the pros and cons can be discussed, but Moscow is allegedly not satisfied with this fact in principle: Russia is demanding the withdrawal of the decision of the 2008 NATO summit in Bucharest that Ukraine and Georgia will become NATO members.
Ryabkov said that only after the abolition of this decision will it be possible to talk about some steps in the right direction.
“There is no readiness for this on the part of the West. Therefore, in our proposals, which are formulated in a comprehensive manner, we have comprehensively put before the United States, first of all, also its allies, a number of issues that require an urgent solution,” Ryabkov said.
It should be noted that NATO has repeatedly stated that the issue of Ukraine’s entry into the Alliance is bilateral. And other parties cannot influence this.
