The longest tour comes at the end: The third division handball players of PSV Recklinghausen will end the 2021 game year with the away game at VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday, December 18.
The team itself set the bar pretty high last week: Despite a few failures, PSV had kept the away game at Borussia Dortmund II (34:30) open for a long time – and against an opponent, the three players from the Bundesliga squad on the Plate had.
That is not to be expected at VfL Wolfsburg, on the contrary: With 0:22 points, the Lower Saxons are at the bottom of the table in Season C. And that is exactly what makes them so dangerous: Because “in passing” his team will not beat this opponent, coach Daniel swans Schnellhardt: “Wolfsburg is developing well, it’s just a matter of time before they’ll get the first points.”
Only, if you’re welcome, not already against PSV, which is still fighting to catch up with 6th place: It’s the first rank that avoids the relegation round. “Sixth place remains the goal, but first of all the game in Wolfsburg counts,” said Daniel Schnellhardt. He’s worried about Stella Krüger, Leonie Fagin and Viola Klüsener’s missions on Saturday.
