Jesperi Kotkaniemi helped the Carolina Hurricanes win with two assists as the Detroit Red Wings fell 4-3 on Thursday night in Raleigh.

The former Montreal Canadiens had a great time for first-year Jack Drury, who scored his first goal in the National Hockey League late in the first period.

Hedman is present
In Tampa, defenseman Victor Hedman went in both goals for the Lightning as the defending Stanley Cup champions defeated the Ottawa Senators 2-1.
The Swede scored the winning net in the second period with a slap shot on the power play. On this net, Steven Stamkos amassed an assist and at the same time his 900th career point.
Hedman, he was also an accomplice in the success of Alex Killorn.
In his 27th game of the season, Quebecer Thomas Chabot finally scored his first goal for the Senators. His blue line teammate Nikita Zaitsev, however, suffered a lower body injury and was forced out of the game on the first period.
