Impact of COVID-19, 5 Premier League Matches This Weekend Officially Postponed

Jakarta

Premier League announced the postponement of 5 matches originally scheduled for this weekend. Increasing cases COVID-19 within the participating teams make this decision to be taken.

Previously, the Premier League’s highest authority had announced the postponement of the Manchester United vs Brighton & Hove Albion match. But after that there were 4 additional matches that could not be held this week.

The four matches are Southampton vs Brentford, Watford vs Crystal Palace, West Ham United vs Norwich City, and Everton vs Leicester City. Thus, the remaining five matches that will still be played this weekend.

Despite the proposal to postpone all of this week’s games, Premier League insisted on continuing the season. Match postponements, if required, will be reviewed on an individual basis.
