Angela de Jong sees no reason to lose weight for Yvonne Coldeweijer. The AD opinion diva believes that the showbiz influencer proves time and again that she does have her facts in a row.
Most traditional showbiz media look a bit down on Yvonne Coldeweijer, but Angela de Jong does not. “These juice channels are always disparagingly said, ‘Ah, it’s not right! They just shout!’, but of course you can’t say that anymore, because they also played a leading role in that André Hazes case.”
After Yvonne
Angela is mainly talking about Yvonne, she says in her AD Mediapodcast. “When Yvonne Coldeweijer says: ‘André Hazes lands at Schiphol at seven o’clock in the evening’, then the entire Dutch show press is there. They are really chasing them now.”
Yvonne also plays a role in the riot surrounding Marco Borsato. She is in direct contact with his alleged victim. “Of course you have Gossip Talk that has helped all kinds of things in the world, but Yvonne, who has of course been on the tail of Marco Borsato for some time, already said: ‘This is not quite right.’”
Facts at a glance
Yvonne does have her facts in a row, according to Angela. “He had a whole folder ready, which of course she also gave to John van den Heuvel has transferred (proverbial, ed.), who had also been working on this for much longer than those two months.”
AD colleague Dennis Jansen: “In the end credits. Fair is fair.”
And colleague Marcus den Blanken: “Ultimately you can say that Yvonne Coldeweijer did a really neat job, because she didn’t do this unfiltered. He has said: ‘There is something going on’, but has not thrown it in unfiltered.”
Angela: “Of course a lot is suggested, but you can’t say anymore: they just pop it and don’t check it.”
New situation
The stars of the Netherlands are no longer safe, Angela thinks. “A whole new situation has been created for the stars through those juice channels, which are a lot more vicious to them than the old-fashioned tabloids and Boulevard.”
“Of course those juice channels don’t really need those artists and Boulevard and the tabloids and our show editors also really want to see an artist the moment he gets married or has a new album or plays in a series. They have a kind of relationship with such a star.”
Relatiemanagement
The regular show media especially want to maintain a good relationship with celebrities. “That’s always a kind of relationship management and those juice channels clearly don’t have that. They bring something faster or are inclined to just bring things that are not so nice for the relationship with such an artist.”
And that brings with it a whole new dynamic. After all: without those juice channels, the alleged victim of Marco Borsato probably would not have stood up for a long time.
