Yesterday afternoon the homicide of a woman in Cuernavaca. The victim was identified today as Tania Mendoza, who was a singer and actress, famous for her participation in the movie ‘La Reina del Sur’.
The events took place in the Sports Unit “Los Felinos”, in the school of football “Campo Felino”, since the actress was waiting outside the field for her son to finish training, when two men entered the sports car on a motorcycle who shot him and then fled.

According to the reports, the woman suffered several impacts from bala in the thorax, which caused his death.
After the attack, the security and emergency elements arrived to attend to her; however, Tania Mendoza had lost her life. Although the state police Morelos carried out an operation to find the murderers, it was unsuccessful.
The son of the actress, was under the protection of his father, who was the husband of Tania Mendoza, Rafael Sánchez Rojas who was also in charge of the recognition of the singer.
Who was Tania Mendoza?
Tania Mendoza was an actress, model and singer who ventured into the artistic world in 2005 with the film ‘La Mera Mera Reina del Sur’ in which she shared credits with Jorge Ortín, Toño Infante and Rafael Goyri.

Kidnapping and death threats
This was the second attempt against Tania Mendoza, since in 2010 the actress was kidnapped along with her husband and son, who at that time was a 6-month-old baby.
In this way, he filed a complaint with the Deputy Attorney General for Special Investigations of the Attorney General’s Office of Morelos, for the crimes of aggravated vehicle theft, robo home and illegal deprivation of liberty.

Despite this, days later Tania Mendoza received different calls in which they told her that she and her family should leave Cuernavaca, since otherwise they would be killed, so they put a new one complaint.
For his part, the Secretary of the Government of Morelos, Pablo Ojeda mentioned that they would work very closely with the State Attorney General’s Office to clarify the femicide of the actress, as well as others presented in the entity so that they are not part of the impunity.

This is the third case which is presented in less than 24 hours, since two more women were murdered in Morelos, one of them was in the municipality of Cuautla and the other in Xoxocotla.
