Why is it better not to eat meat every day?

The specialist highly recommends people to reduce the amount of meat in the diet as much as possible, or to refuse it altogether.

“It contains saturated fat. If you consume too much of these fats, your blood cholesterol levels rise. This increases your risk of heart disease,” said the nutritionist.

According to the nutritionist, people love to order steaks from restaurants. But instead, it is better to choose fish.

“If one is on a diet high in saturated fat and cholesterol, daily steak may not be the best choice,” she said.

Meat leads to cancer

By the way, according to some studies, a daily consumption of 100 g of red meat increases the risk of colon cancer by 17%. On the other hand, it is impossible to say exactly how much red meat is absolutely harmless to health.
