The Electrolux Group has signed a € 1 billion credit line, linked to sustainability objectives.
Electrolux has signed a new € 1 billion multi-currency credit facility agreement linked to your sustainability goals, with a group of 11 banks.
The line is for general corporate purposes and has a five-year maturity, with extension options for up to two more years. The new line refinances an existing syndicated line of € 1 billion that expires in May 2023.
The credit line was overwritten during syndication, allowing Electrolux increase the initial amount from € 900 million to € 1 billion.
Vanessa Butani, Vice President of Sustainability at Electrolux, has declared: We appreciate the support offered by this line of credit. It reflects our commitment to continue to be an industry leader in sustainability and is a confirmation of our sustainability credentials.
The line of credit is clearly linked to the sustainability framework ‘For the Better 2030” of the group; as its margin is related to ambitions to be climate neutral in operations by 2030; be a leader in energy efficient products that reduce carbon emissions during use; and continue to ensure the health and safety of employees.
For Martin Bendixen, Group Treasurer Electrolux, achieving credit is a sign that demonstrates Electrolux’s financial strength and credibility, given the current economic climate.
