The producer of formats such as MasterChef, Shine Iberia, has lamented the death of actress Verónica Forqué, who was found dead at her home in Madrid this Monday, and has asked for respect for her and her family, while highlighting that she was “one of the great actresses of our cinematography.”
In a statement, the producer of the TVE program stressed that he was “an excellent person” with which they coincided in the recording of the last edition of MasterChef Celebrity, between the months of May and July 2021, where he participated as a contestant until he left the contest.

At this stage, the actress stated, as explained by the company, “feel happy and grateful, just like she did in the months after, both in public and in private”.
Shine Iberia has detailed that Forqué participated as a special guest in the new seasons of Masterchef Junior Y Masters of seams, both formats still pending issuance, and also in the development of a series that they were creating with the actress, a “personal project” that excited both her and the producer.
Thus, he recalled that “the well-being, security and respect for the privacy of the contestants” is the “absolute priority” of Masterchef Celebrity. “Verónica decided to both begin and end her participation in the program when and as she considered it, counting on our continued support”, has underlined, to later demand respect for the actress and her family. “We will miss you very much, Veronica. Rest in peace,” the statement concluded.
Forqué, 66, was found dead at her Madrid home this Monday. The emergency services of SUMMA 112 and the Police went to the house on Víctor de la Serna street alerted by a warning at 12.50 pm, although they could not do anything for his life.
The autopsy performed on the body of Verónica Forqué has confirmed that she took her own life at home. The Spanish Theater will host the burning chapel this Wednesday.
