Berlin: The summit meeting of the seven large western industrial countries is to take place for the second time at Elmau Castle in Bavaria. According to a spokesman for the federal government, the meeting is planned for June 26-28. Schloss Elmau meets all logistical and safety requirements for a G7 summit location, it said. The German government held the summit there during the last German G7 presidency in 2015. Germany will take over the chairmanship of the G7 on January 1, 2022. The group of leading western industrial nations includes Germany, the USA, Great Britain, France, Italy, Japan and Canada.
