In the midst of a pandemic situation, vigilance against dengue cannot be careless

Suara.com – Entering the rainy season, people are asked to be aware of the spread of disease dengue fever dengue. Especially in the Jakarta area.

As quoted from ANTARA, the Assistant for Administration and People’s Welfare of the East Jakarta City Government, Achmad Salahudin
said his party had asked all sub-district heads, village heads and local government work units (SKPD) to promote the eradication of mosquito nests (PSN).

“Increasing PSN carried out by cadres of larvae monitoring interpreters (Jumantik) to form independent Jumantik in every RT/RW,” said Achmad Salahudin in Jakarta, Monday.

Salahudin said that the seven sub-districts were prone to spread DBD are Cakung, Duren Sawit, Kramat Jati, Ciracas, Cipayung, Jatinegara and Pasar Rebo.

“Of course this is still a pandemic, PSN must be adjusted to the existing health protocols,” said Salahudin.

Functional Health Entomology from the East Jakarta Health Sub-department, Suprono said, from January to December 2021 there were more than 840 cases of DHF in East Jakarta.

In early December 2021 the number of dengue cases in East Jakarta (Jaktim) decreased. However, he warned that anticipation needs to be done because the peak of the rainy season is expected in early 2022.

In addition to asking residents to form independent Jumantik in every house, he also asked every agency to routinely carry out PSN to prevent Aedes aegypti mosquitoes from breeding.

“Currently, seeing the conditions of the rainy season, the vector (aedes aegypti) that transmits it is starting to grow. Therefore, we must immediately anticipate for vector control,” said Suprono.

In response to this, Cap Lang Kayu Putih Plus took the initiative to re-establish the CSR program ‘Indonesia Free of Mosquitoes 2021’ by reaching a wider area.

There are a total of 7 cities throughout Indonesia visited by ‘Mosquito Free Indonesia’ on November 22 to December 3, 2021, starting from East Jakarta, Bekasi, Semarang, Surabaya, Bali, Makassar and Medan.
