DEPOK – Ward Bojongsari re-do Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN). This is done to prevent Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) caused by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito.
“Now the city of Depok is entering the rainy season, which we know that Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is often a threat to residents. Therefore, it needs to be anticipated early on,” said the Village Head of Bojongsari, Ilham, Monday (13/12).
According to Ilham, in this PSN activity a number of efforts have been made in his area, starting from re-moving the larvae monitoring cadre (Jumantik) with the head of RT-RW and the community in the environment as well as Posyandu cadres who are tasked with monitoring the cleanliness of residents’ homes.
“We asked them to jump into people’s houses which are prone to mosquito breeding locations, such as in water reservoirs and others,” he said.
His party also claimed to have coordinated this with the RT-RW so that Jumantik cadres in each region were strengthened to carry out PSN activities with residents.
“This is a form of anticipation and vigilance against dengue cases in the Bojongsari area,” he said.
In addition, Ilham also said that fogging activities were also carried out in several RWs in order to anticipate the spread of dengue cases.
“Of the 14 existing RWs, five RWs have carried out fumigation, including RW 01, 03, 05, 06 and 07,” said Ilham.
