The soundscapes of the concert will be taken care of by the music director Tālis Timrots, the poetry will be read by Inese Zandere, Velta Kaltiņa, Māris Salējs and Roalds Dobrovenskis.
The concert will also feature DAGDA artists Jānis Porietis (trumpet, photo and video), Edgars Saksons (percussion), Aigars Červinskis (guitars) and Orag Silabriedis, the author of the DAGDAS idea (music). The visual idea for the disc was created by the artist Ieva Jurjāne.
The music recording, which has been made for almost two years, has become a compelling story of the Aspazija and Rainis era and life, which is told alongside the compositions of Ieva Parša and Pēteris Trasuns by Emīls Dārziņš’s classic silver . Ieva Jurjāne also has a special role – the feather of the hawk found in the design of the disc is also a reference to her experience in the world of Rainis and Aspzija and
meeting with DAGDU.
The DAGDAS disc is also the anniversary of many of its members celebrant – to the singer and author of the compositions Ieva Parša, Krišjānis Norvelis, Edgars Saxons and Orestas Silabriedis – 50, Aldis Liepiņš – 60, and Roalds Dobrovensk – 85. The celebration together with like-minded people and listeners is the biggest holiday!
The compositions of Ieva Parša, written for human solo voice, choir and instruments, are modern, expressed in the language of easy-to-understand music, mysterious, lyrical and highly expressive. They have the sound of a classical chord song, as well as rhythms and intonations typical of rock music, even rap. But basically everything – a classic solo song.
