Nice words and criticism of Scholz’s visit to Poland
The Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki raised various political controversies with Chancellor Scholz. He criticized the goal set in the red-green-yellow coalition agreement of developing the EU into a federal state. He was just as critical of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline – it should not be opened in the first place. Morawiecki also renewed the demand for reparations for damage from the Second World War. Scholz had previously highlighted the close ties between the two countries during his inaugural visit to Warsaw. He also assured Morawiecki of further support in the refugee crisis with Belarus. Cabinet advises on supplementary budget

Faeser wants to crack down on Telegram
Federal Minister of the Interior Faeser wants to crack down on hate speech and calls for violence on the Telegram messenger service. The SPD politician told the Funke media group that the Federal Office of Justice had carried out two proceedings against Telegram to which the messenger service did not respond. This federal government will not accept that. Telegram can now be used to publish messages in groups of up to 200,000 members.
