Week 16 Premier League 2021/2022 has finished playing. Here are the standings Premier League, with the top three teams still competing!
Manchester City still at the top of the Premier League standings after a positive result against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium, Saturday (11/12/2021). The Citizens won 1-0 via Raheem Sterling’s penalty goal.
The addition of three points makes Man City have now collected 38 points. Pep Guardiola’s squad is affixed to its closest competitor, Liverpool, who also picked up a win last weekend.
Liverpool won 1-0 at home to Aston Villa at Anfield via Mohamed Salah’s penalty. The Reds collect 37 points and sit in second place standings.
Victory was also achieved by other top teams, Chelsea. Host Leeds United at Stamford Bridge, The Blues won 3-2 in a match marked by two Jorginho penalties.
Chelsea still maintain a distance with Man City and Liverpool in the standings. Thomas Tuchel’s squad collected 36 points, or just two points away from The Citizens and one digit from The Reds.
The fourth position of the Premier League standings is still filled West Ham United. The Hammers failed to get closer to the top three teams after being held to a goalless draw at Burnley headquarters on Sunday (12/12).
The draw makes West Ham now collect 28 points. Declan Rice et al began to be approached by competitors under him, Manchester United.
MU won three points at Norwich City thanks to a 1-0 victory scored by Cristiano Ronaldo from the penalty spot. The Red Devils have now earned 27 points, one point ahead of Arsenal (26 points) in sixth.
