A 67-year-old woman lost her life after being hit by a vehicle Sunday morning in the Bronx.
The incident occurred around 9:51 am, at the intersection of West 170 Street Y Jerome Avenue, the New York City Police said.
According to the preliminary investigation, the victim was trying to cross Jerome avenue when she was hit by a car Nissan. The woman, who was identified as Milagros Collazo-Ríos, was transported to Saint Barnabas hospital where she was declared dead.
The 39-year-old driver of the Nissan stayed at the crash site.
As of yet, no charges have been issued and the investigation continues.
