TeleKwai Revolutionizes Video Production and Consumption in Latin America | TECHNOLOGY

With an innovative format that is revolutionizing the business of content monetization in social networks in Latin America, the TeleKwai application has become the new trend in the production and consumption of fictional stories in short videos.

TeleKwai, which was launched on the market last April by the Chinese company Kuaishou Technology, is presented to the public as the evolution of the soap opera towards a much shorter content for all downtime of the day through the mobile application, to compete with other applications such as Instagram or TikTok.

For Kwai’s Latam content operations manager, Cecilia Velázquez Traut, the reception of TeleKwai from the public has been good considering that in Latin America they already have one hundred million active users.

“By linking with TeleKwai, these small and medium-sized production companies are transformed into MNC (Multi-Chanel Network) which are companies that generate channels on the different platforms and obtain income from brands from the monetization of the platform and also from the management of talents. “Velázquez Traut told Efe.

TeleKwai’s bet is the small and medium audiovisual content producers in all the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America where there is great potential for the type of content that the public demands. In this sense, it has already started working with producers from Caribbean countries, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay.

For Velázquez, the goal is, in the short term, to exceed a thousand accounts, since they now have “around 500 accounts (production companies linked to Telekwai) and about 50 million daily views. For this reason, from the launch we hope to have not only more consumption but also more production ”.

“TeleKwai acts as a business accelerator and when they join us they can be a production company, a marketing agency or a talent agency. We train them to become an MCN and have the ability to generate channels, do business and manage the talent of their actors, ”added Velázquez.

In fact, many of the companies that have been around since TeleKwai began were very small companies, which grew along with the program. “In that sense,” he added, “I would like to emphasize that no matter the size of your current company, you can grow with us as long as you have the will to do so.”

Regarding content, the content operations manager indicated: “We are trying to work with the identity of Latin America. We are not wanting to copy models from other countries, but the other way around. We have a seedbed, and with our talent we can generate our own formats. This is how we seek to differentiate ourselves ”.

Users who download the TeleKwai application have the possibility to enjoy episodes of 40 to 80 seconds, with content with social themes, drama and even comedy.
