Juventus’ disappointing Serie A season continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Venezia on Saturday, further lowering their title hopes.
The visitors dominated the first half and entered the break with a 1-0 lead given by Alvaro Morata in the 32nd minute at the near post.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side remained comfortable after the break, but failed to assert their pressure as a second goal remained elusive.

Juve entered the competition in good form, having won their previous three games in all competitions without conceding a goal.
They quickly exerted some control over the game in Venice, although they received a heavy blow after striker Paulo Dybala was forced to leave the venue due to an injury.
Morata, who has received criticism from his own fans for his performances this season, then edged his side with his fourth Serie A goal of the campaign, on the end of a cross from Luca Pellegrini.
Juan Cuadrado should have scored two goals just before half-time but shot from a good position, before home goalkeeper Sergio Romero made a superb save to prevent Federico Bernardeschi.
Armu’s equalizer at 20 yards brought Juve back, with the Old Lady looking less threatening in the latter stages of the game.
They did however manage 20 shots on goal in the game, with their arrival, not for the first time this season, dropping them as Venezia celebrated a point against the most successful team in Serie A.
