Sony unveiled, during the live stream of The Game Awards 2021, an impressive gameplay trailer that highlights the new threats that Aloy, the incredible protagonist of the game Horizon Forbidden West, the long-awaited sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn by Guerrilla Studios, will have to face. The title is released on February 18, 2022 exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and can now be booked at PlayStation Store and in the usual stores.
In the latest trailer, Aloy faces majestic and menacing machines on the Forbidden West frontier, such as Shellsnapp, Clamberjaw and Tideripper and has new weapons like Grapping Hook, Pullcaster and Spike Thrower to defend himself, and new abilities like swimming underwater and the Shiedlwing to escape and explore this mysterious new frontier filled with challenges and opportunities. The trailer also shows Aloy in a variety of outfits, with players able to equip Aloy with the most appropriate weapons and outfit for each fight for each situation.
Join Aloy on her adventure through the Forbidden West, a frontier as dangerous as it is majestic that hides new and mysterious threats. Explore distant territories, face even more fearsome machines, and meet quirky new tribes on your return to the post-apocalyptic world in the distant future of Horizon.
Relentless storms and unstoppable destruction ravage humanity’s scattered resistance, while fearsome new machines hunt across borders. Life on Earth is heading towards extinction and no one knows why. Aloy will have to unlock the secrets behind these threats and restore order and balance to the world. On your adventure, you’ll reconnect with old friends, forge alliances with new warring factions and discover the legacy of a forgotten past. And all of this being always attentive to the advances of a new and apparently invincible enemy.
Horizon Forbidden West features numerous gaming benefits for PlayStation 5 such as fast loading, stunning 60fps graphics where Performance Mode further enhances the smoothness of motion, animations and controls, adaptive triggers through haptic feedback from the controller without DualSense wires plus the PS5 console’s Tempest 3D Audio Tech with stereo headphones, where you can hear the rustle of vegetation in the wind, birds fluttering and large mechanical machines swimming in the water as you explore environments teeming with life wild and machines.
