Police find rifles and ammunition
The police took the case seriously and paid the 19-year-old a visit on Thursday morning. With him, the emergency services found a folding rifle, ammunition, six magazines, a telescopic sight and hearing protection, police chief Jakari Young told the US newspaper. Hagins was arrested outside his home. “By God’s grace, the two students came forward and foiled the plan,” Young said.
The 19-year-old now faces a penalty. He is charged with written threats of injury or death, terrorism and attempted first degree murder. “He has already confessed to making these statements on social media. He confessed. He claims that it was all a joke and that he didn’t mean it. But we don’t find anything funny about writing about a campus rampage, ”Young told CBS Miami. The police chief also pointed out that Thursday was the last day before the winter holidays. On that day, the school grounds were particularly full.
