Ralf Rangnick in particular is looking forward to two things after about a week at the helm of Manchester United.
On Monday 29 November, Ralf Rangnick was confirmed ready as the new interim manager at United and the German led the team to a 1-0 victory in his first match on the sidelines in the meeting with Crystal Palace.
In midweek, he chose to replace the entire eleven in the 1-1 match against Young Boys in the Champions League, before a new Premier match against Norwich awaits Old Trafford on Saturday night.

– More than happy
In an interview with Sky Sports tells Rangnick about how he has experienced his first time at the club.
– So far I am more than happy with the body language and the desire to learn and receive information that will help them get better, not just without the ball, but with it, he says to the English newspaper.
Rangnick was out early to call for a team that escapes fewer chances and goals and in his first game at the helm against Palace, the team kept a clean sheet. Against Norwich, the 63-year-old hopes to repeat what United had only managed twice earlier in the season, before joining the club.
– I know them better than I did seven or eight games ago and now it’s about building on what we have shown, especially against Crystal Palace. It’s a challenging match against Norwich – with a new manager there.

– They have improved, have a new style of play by being more direct and vertical. But if we build on the performance against Palace, I think we have a good chance of winning the match.
– The way we want to play in the future
When asked what he is most happy with so far, Rangnick answers:
– Two things stand out. One was the way the build-up to the goal against the Palace. Not only the way Fred scored, but also the way the ball went to the wing from the right back. Mason (Greenwood) played a perfect ball back to Fred’s right foot. The way we created it was brilliant.
– And defensively we had a situation in the first half where Victor Lindelöf won the first ball, and two seconds later, because the ball bounced on, the ball won again. So he had two situations in the middle of the opponent’s half of the field where he, as a midfielder, played very proactively and won both balls. This is how we want to play in the future, says Rangnick.
After 16 rounds, United is number six in the table. Rangnick is now optimistic about the rest of the season.
– The players are ambitious like me. They want to get the best out of this season. They want to end up in the top spot if possible, they want to get as far as possible in the FA Cup and even more in the Champions League. We want to win as many matches as possible – and it starts already in the next match, says Rangnick.
The match starts against Norwich on Saturday at 18.30 and you can follow it directly The online newspaper’s live center.
