BOGOTÁ (AP) – With an Anderson Angulo goal in the 90th minute, Deportes Tolima drew 1-1 with Millonarios on Thursday and held onto the top spot in Group B of the semifinal phase in the Colombian league.
The defender took advantage of a rebound after a corner kick and ended the party that more than 30,000 fans of Millonarios were going to celebrate at the El Campín stadium in Bogotá.
Millonarios took the lead with an own goal from defender Julio Quiñones in the 8th minute.
Larry Angulo, Anderson’s brother, also scored in the throes, and his header gave Cali a victory at home, 2-1 over Alianza Petrolera.
Thanks to both discounts, America reached six points, two less than Tolima.
Midfielder Carlos Sierra scored America’s first goal in the 7th minute. Forward Bayron Garcés tentatively equalized at 51.
For its part, Deportivo Cali marks the step in Group A with 10 points, four more than Atlético Junior.
Venezuelan Rafael Dudamel’s team beat local Atlético Nacional 2-1 on Wednesday, leaving it unable to advance. Junior for his part beat Deportivo Pereira 3-0.
Cali-Junior and Nacional-Pereira will meet on Saturday.
Pereira-Millonarios and América-Tolima will close the penultimate day on Sunday.
