Last year, not a Big Mac or a pizza Margherita was most often delivered to home by the courier service Deliveroo, but a sweet chicken bowl. And just like in 2020, a Ghent catering business was again the most popular spot for Deliveroo meals.

Last year, a medium spaghetti from the Kastart in Onderbergen was the most frequently delivered dish across the country by Deliveroo couriers. This year, that honor again goes to a Ghent business, the Hawaiian Poké Bowl chain, with branches in Vlaanderenstraat and Kalandeberg.
Perhaps surprisingly, the most frequently ordered dish is the sweet chicken bowl. “With juicy, grilled chicken, guacamole, corn, cherry tomatoes, mango and feta,” says the menu. The number two is also a chicken dish, smoked chicken with herbs from a restaurant in Brussels. The medium spaghetti at Kastart dropped to number 7 and a Julientje at French fry in Hooiaard ranks 12. Remarkable: in Antwerp a can of Jupiler (33 cl) from the Carrefour was the most popular item in the Deliveroo basket.
