From Christmas, all pensions will be raised during the internship, and with the update of this year’s budget it was planned to increase its weight to 1.35. This alone will lead to an increase in pensions by an average of BGN 84.
The higher coefficient of seniority will be valid throughout 2022 and so new retirees will be able to receive higher amounts.

The bonus of BGN 60 for all pensioners from January to June is written in the draft state budget. BGN 741.6 million are provided for it. The money will be determined by acts of the Council of Ministers.
There are expected to be various proposals in the National Assembly. During the negotiations, the BSP proposed that the bonus of BGN 120, given since October, remain in the first months of next year. According to Asen Vassilev, he should stop and pensioners below the poverty line should be compensated with new social assistance. During the expert talks, the future coalition partners agreed that the adults would not receive less than their current money. But what exactly this means will be clear during the debates in the National Assembly.
The caretaker government has set a minimum salary of BGN 710. Now it is BGN 650. The expert groups “We continue the change”, BSP, “There are such people” and “Democratic Bulgaria” agreed to be at least BGN 700. According to GERB, it should is BGN 720.
It is proposed that the minimum insurance income for farmers and tobacco growers should also be BGN 710. At the moment it is 69% lower – BGN 420.
And the cabinet of Stefan Yanev envisages a higher threshold for insurance – BGN 3,400. Asen Vassilev’s proposal is for it to be BGN 3,450 and to be tied to the average salary in the country.
The average insurance income next year is BGN 1,265. This year it is expected to reach BGN 1,170.
Unemployment benefit will be maintained – a minimum of BGN 12 and a maximum of BGN 74.29, a total of BGN 567 million is provided. On average, 77,890 people are expected to be entitled to the benefit per month, receiving about BGN 606.54 each. .
It is planned that the maternity leave in the second year will be BGN 650. It was raised from October 1, until then it was BGN 380. The caretaker government does not link it to the growth of the minimum wage for 2022.
