An 11-year-old girl is said to have been strangled to death by accident while she was on a video call with friends, writes Manchester Evening News.
The incident took place in Widnes, Chesire, UK.
The eleven-year-old was found unconscious by his mother after wrapping himself in the rope on a swing in the morning of 23 May.
She suffered a severe brain injury from lack of oxygen, and died at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool five days later.
Was first revived
A report on the death, issued by Warrington Coroner’s Court, states that the mother found the daughter after going out to ask her to keep an eye on their McDonald’s delivery.
The mother is said to have screamed when she saw the daughter and alerted a neighbor who jumped over the fence to help. Furthermore, cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed on the young girl, writes Manchester Evening News.
The girl’s heart had stopped beating when an ambulance arrived at the home on Tedder Square in Cheshire.
Attempts to revive her continued during the journey to Whiston Hospital. She eventually regained her heart rate, but remained unconscious. Shortly afterwards, she was transferred to the Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.

There, a CT scan showed that she had suffered a serious brain injury, according to the report. Neurosurgeons at the hospital determined that there was nothing they could do to help the young girl.
She died on May 28.
