LeMoos from Düsseldorf presents the world’s first kit wedding dresses

The young Düsseldorf fashion label LeMoos has dedicated itself to the topic of bridal gowns and reinvented it at the same time. Many brides will know the problem of choice – often their favorite bottom comes with a top that doesn’t work, or vice versa. Good advice is expensive, because custom-made products often exceed the budget or the time frame.

Designer and LeMoos founder Lena Moos wanted to put an end to this dilemma and is therefore offering wedding dresses as a kit as a world first. This means that with the patented mix & match system called “miXme”, which is like a kind of modular system, brides can put together their dream dress from individual parts in four steps.

You can choose from a basic top, basic skirt and accessories for top and skirt, such as lace, embroidery, glamor applications or a train. For each of these four parts you can choose from hundreds of designed models, which leads to a multitude of possible combinations. “At the end of the four steps, each dress is truly unique,” says Moos.

But that’s not all. Wedding dresses are (hopefully) only worn once in a lifetime, and the problem remains what to do with them afterwards. Not with a LeMoos dress, because all parts are connected with a patented zipper system.

“The dress feels like a one-piece and can be combined again and again,” reveals the designer. “For an evening party, for example, the train can be removed or a long skirt can be turned into a short one. This is how the wedding dress becomes a party or cocktail dress ”. And this also benefits sustainability, because using it as a party dress after the wedding prevents waste.

If you want to experience the system live, you can do so in the brand’s first flagship store at Graf-Adolf-Straße 49 in Düsseldorf. This was opened on November 20 and offers the four-step selection over 500 square meters, which was also taken into account in the shop fitting and furnishing concept.

Currently around 45 bridal shops in Germany and neighboring countries also offer parts of the LeMoos collection. In addition, a wedding dress configurator for virtual compilation of dresses went online as a preselection in October 2021. Prices are available on request.
