Columbia University protest better working conditions

Several Columbia University students protested outside the main campus entrance, in support of the 3,000 teaching and research assistants on strike since early November.

The protesters demand fair wages, comprehensive health insurance and an entity to help resolve disputes.

A couple of days ago the students posted a message on social networks where they announced the work stoppage.

Other unions have also joined the demonstration to show their support.

We have contacted Columbia University for a comment but received no response.
