Despite the fact that Oliver Ingrosso (31) has grown up in one of Sweden’s most famous families, he thrives best in the shadow of the Wahlgren / Ingrosso family.
But the spotlight and celebrity status have never been important for the Swede, who works as a DJ. In this way, he stands out from the rest of the family, he says in a major interview with Aftonbladet.
– There are two pictures from my parents’ wedding where I stick my head out of the car when we have just arrived. They are taken at millisecond intervals. In one picture I look shitty and in the other picture I have realized that there are lots of photographers and people who have come to see them get married.
The second picture therefore shows a cursed three and a half year old boy. Ingrosso says it has always been like this, without him knowing exactly why. But the 31-year-old thinks most people are born with a basic identity that is difficult to change.
Attention has been inevitable for Oliver Ingrosso. He says it has been disturbing. He has never understood why others are interested in the privacy of others, since he himself is not interested in that kind of thing.
As a rule, a large camera team follows his family, which results in the reality series «Wahlgrens verden». The program takes us into the family’s everyday life, with ups and downs.
Oliver Ingrosso has not noticed that much, according to Aftonbladet. He himself thinks that he has appeared about a dozen times during the series’ ten seasons. He estimates that he has seen ten to fifteen episodes of “Wahlgren’s World”.
– It’s not my type of TV show. I never understood why one should look at the Kardashian family or the “Paradise Hotel”. I have other interests.

Will not use the celebrity name
The eldest Ingrosso brother says he cares very little that others have prejudices against him on the basis of the surname.
Ingrosso, who works as a DJ and music producer, admits that it would have helped to use his mildly well-known name.
Still, he says that one must be able to “see oneself in the mirror” at the end of the day. He says it would feel like selling himself.
The 31-year-old, who has released songs under Oliver Ingrosso, has started releasing music under the artist name “Oling”.

The music producer has never appreciated people seeking attention that way. On the other hand, he has no problem with the rest of the sibling group thinking differently.
By comparison, Oliver has 52,000 followers on Instagram, compared to Benjamin and Bianca’s 564,000 and 1.2 million followers. With them, the siblings share a lot from their private lives, from shopping to break.
– They can do exactly what they want, but I can have some opinions when they care too much about what others think, or absorb too much of it, he admits.
