As leaked from the big Corona summit in the Chancellery, the government has agreed on a regional approach with the country leaders. The only condition of the federal government: The lockdown for unvaccinated people must continue. One negotiator says: “For them, the exit restrictions between midnight and midnight will remain in place.”
The federal government specifies minimum standards
It is now also a done deal: For those who have been vaccinated, the lockdown ends in the whole of Germany – from Bregenz to Eisenstadt – on the night of December 12th.
For vaccinated people, however, all exit restrictions are lifted!
The federal government will set minimum standards for protective measures, which the federal states must not fall below. According to an insider, this includes a close-knit safety network (2G, FFP2 mask requirement, intensive controls). A meeting participant says “Today”: “The federal states, which are also responsible for the intensive medical care of their residents, can of course, depending on the current situation in the intensive care units, take further measures that go beyond the requirements of the federal government.”
Vienna and Upper Austria harder
Vienna has already announced such an approach. Mayor Michael Ludwig (SP) will not open the inns until December 20th. unlock. Upper Austria will also remain in a tough lockdown until December 17th. Behind the scenes, there are now consultations on detailed issues – such as the curfew in restaurants in some countries. After all, the night gastronomy should not celebrate its comeback until January.
