The law provides for the allocation of UAH 8 billion to the Ministry of Economy under the e-Support program. An additional 2.2 billion are earmarked for the fight against COVID.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law amending the Law on the State Budget-2021. According to bill No. 6297, UAH 8 billion is allocated for assistance within the e-Support program. This is reported on website Ukrainian parliament.
The day before, on December 7, the document was signed by the head of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
“The purpose of the bill is to provide social support for insured persons in connection with the introduction of restrictive anti-epidemic measures in certain regions, which led to a temporary halt in the activities of economic entities, as well as to stimulate business entities and employees to vaccinate,” the explanatory note says.
The law provides for an increase in revenues and expenditures of the state budget by UAH 10.2 billion (receipts from the general state budget fund from VAT on goods imported into the customs territory of Ukraine).
Eight billion of this amount will be allocated to the Ministry of Economy under the budget program Assistance under the eSupport program.
Out of UAH 10.2 billion, UAH 2.2 billion is provided for an increase in the expenses of the general fund under the program Measures related to the fight against COVID-19 and its consequences.
As a reminder, on November 15 it became known that vaccinated Ukrainians are promised UAH 1,000… The funds can be spent on purchasing gym membership, visiting cinemas, theaters, or buying tickets for trips within the country.
