Last Thursday, a regional investigation program and online showed recognizable images of eight suspected rioters. After the release of those images, we could once again four arrests be done, bringing the total number of detentions to 53.

The riots of 19 November on and around Coolsingel broke out after a demonstration against the cabinet’s corona policy. Police cars, scooters and shops were damaged, among other things, and police officers were also targeted. Five people were injured by bullets. The National Criminal Investigation Department is investigating whether the injuries were caused by police bullets. Officers were also injured.

Blurred images of two rioters who were active in The Hague on 20 November were also shown during the broadcast. They get one last chance to register. If they do not do so soon, recognizable images of them will also be shown. During the riots in The Hague, a stone was thrown through the window of an ambulance, among other things.
