Lousy attack via Twitter: eXXpress readers support young ÖVP women

Three young and charismatic ÖVP women have now been promoted within a short time: the new State Secretary in the Federal Chancellery, Claudia Plakolm (26, right in the picture), the new ÖVP General Secretary Laura Sachslehner (27, left in the picture) and the Tyrolean Vera Regensburger (center), who has been appointed Deputy Head of Cabinet by Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer.

As reported on Tuesday, the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Woman” etched against the former via Twitter: “We have the worst crisis in a long time and are trying to cope with it with underground personnel. Who, for example, needs a 26-year-old without training as a state secretary with a salary of € 14,760? Explain that to the young people in this country … “

Not the only inappropriate request to speak of this kind – as reported, Sachslehner in particular is repeatedly attacked by Twitter users, sometimes even in a racist manner, among other things because she campaigns for the interests of Christians in Austria and regularly criticizes red Vienna.

The conclusion of the eXXpress readers – especially the readers, by the way – is clear: “You should be ashamed to act like this against a young committed politician,” writes eXXpress reader Lea to Euke Frank. “The hatred of the left is disgusting,” says forum user “Azzo”. Meanwhile, user Fabijenna refers to Frank’s double standards: “This tweet is misogynistic and cannot be surpassed in terms of embarrassment, and that from an editor of a women’s magazine. Dear readers, wouldn’t that be a reason for a boycott of this paper? Or does solidarity stop with young, successful and good-looking women? “
