German police intervened to disperse several non-vax demonstrations in the eastern land of Saxony, one of the regions of the country with the highest incidence of covid-19 infections. In this land, where gatherings of more than ten people are prohibited, the regional parliament of Dresden this morning voted a resolution that affirms the gravity of the pandemic, giving legal basis to new restrictions.
During the vote, the parliament was protected by a large police force and the surrounding area was closed. The agents dispersed and identified about fifty demonstrators, 27 of whom were later charged with violating anti-contagion rules.
In the evening, the police dispersed 350 no vax as they marched towards the center of Bautzen. In the same city, agents used pepper spray against another no vax rally. One person was arrested for failing to obey orders to leave the area. Two marches with hundreds of participants were missing in Freiberg and Chemnitz.
