Six weeks after the shot on the set
Baldwin deactivates Twitter account
–
After the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust”, Alec Baldwin dismissed responsibility in a recent interview. A few days later, he deactivated his Twitter account. In terms of media, he has been zigzagging since the fatal events on the film set.
More than six weeks after the fatal shot on a film set, Hollywood star Alec Baldwin deactivated his Twitter account. The verified account @alecbaldwin is no longer active in the morning. The 63-year-old’s Instagram account is still there. There Baldwin commemorated the former Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole, who died at the age of 98.
While shooting the western “Rust” at a film ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico, camerawoman Halyna Hutchins was fatally injured on October 21. She passed away at the age of 42. Director Joel Souza was also hit in the shoulder. Leading actor Baldwin had used the gun for a scene during the rehearsal. The ongoing investigation revealed that there was a real bullet in the Colt. The police are currently investigating how this could happen.
The deactivation of the Twitter account contributes to the impression of a zigzag course that Baldwin seems to have been following since the fatal shots in terms of his media presence. Immediately after the events on the film set, he announced that he wanted to withdraw from the public eye, take some time for himself and “re-center” himself. Before long, the actor was back on social media.
In a recent interview with the broadcaster ABC, Baldwin spoke for the first time in detail in front of television cameras about the film set incident. Hutchins was loved and admired by everyone. He still couldn’t believe it happened. A day after the incident, Baldwin tweeted, “There are no words to express the shock and sadness at the tragic accident that ended the life of Halyna Hutchins – wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours.”
No discharge yet
After the emotional interview, Alex Baldwin had not received any official backing. As the US portal “TMZ” reports, the district attorney in charge, Mary Carmack-Altwies, said in a statement that Baldwin and several others could be charged by her. “Everyone who handled and used firearms on set had a duty to behave in such a way that the safety of others was protected,” said the lawyer. Certain acts and omissions would have led to the calamity in which Hutchins lost her life.
You and the relevant sheriff’s department have not yet fully completed the investigation into the incident. So far it is not yet clear who will be sued. The decision on this will only be made after all investigations have come to an end.
