Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) reshuffled the management of PT PLN (Persero). The President Director, previously held by Zulkifli Zaini, was replaced by Darmawan Prasodjo, who was previously the Deputy President Director of the company.
Deputy Minister of SOEs Pahala Nugraha Mansury said the ministry thanked Zulkifli for his performance so far at the company.
“That’s right [diganti], Pak Dharmo (Dharmawan Prasodjo) becomes a substitute. We thank Mr. Zul (Zulkifli Zaini), the President Director of PLN, who has served for 2 years with good performance during the pandemic,” Pahala said to CNBC Indonesia, Monday (6/12/2021).
By placing Darmawan as the main director at PLN, the ministry hopes that the energy transition will be accelerated.
Citing the official PLN website, Dharmawan was born in Magelang, October 19, 1970. He earned a Bachelor of Computer Science from Texas A&M University in 1994 and a Master of Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
Then completed his Doctor of Applied Economics, Natural Resource Economics at Texas A&M University in collaboration with Duke University in 2011.
He has served as deputy president director of PLN since December 23, 2010.
He had a career as Director at the Indonesia Center for Green Economy and Head of Department in Green Economy Study Program at Surya University in 2012-2013 and Co-chair of Post 2015 Millennium Development Goals in 2013-2014.
Then the President Commissioner of Amesti Energi Nusantara in 2013 – 2014, Deputy I for Control, Development, Monitoring and Evaluation of Priority Programs for the Presidential Staff Office for 2015-2019, and Commissioner of PT PLN (Persero) for 2018 – 2019.
