The latest record was 26 million euros.
A player from Île-et-Vilaine won the Loto in France on Saturday night thirty million euros, the largest sum ever since the game was launched in 1976, according to the Française des Jeux (FDJ).
The previous record dated from September 11 and stood at 26 million euros. “In the history of Loto, this is the seventh time that the jackpot has exceeded the symbolic bar of 20 million euros”, according to a press release from the FDJ.
This sum of 30 million euros was won in Ile-et-Vilaine (Brittany, west), after 28 consecutive draws without a winner.
