Belarus will revise the “matrix” of supplies of goods to the EU

The Belarusian authorities are planning to soon launch the first unit of the BelNPP at full capacity in order to save $ 200-250 million on gas.

In connection with the introduction of restrictions on Belarus, the export of the republic may decrease by $ 250-300 million annually. This was announced on Saturday, December 4, by the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus Dmitry Krutoy in interview TV channel Belarus 1.

“For the group on the sanctions list, according to experts, it is about $ 250-300 million a year. This is primarily an energy and petrochemical group, it is planned to reduce supplies,” the official said.

At the same time, he stressed, the authorities intend to launch the first unit of the BelNPP at full capacity in 2022, which, presumably, will save 1.8 billion cubic meters of gas in the amount of $ 200-250 million.

“Only savings on gas next year will cover the entire negative effect on sanctions positions in trade with the European Union,” Krutoy said.

At the same time, he informed, Belarusian enterprises, which are included in the “black” lists, will approach the sale of goods to Europe in a new way. “The supply matrix will be more creatively compiled,” the official said.

As a reminder, this week the European Union approved the fifth package of sanctions against Belarus… Also, restrictions against the republic were imposed by the United States.

Currently, 183 people and 26 organizations from Belarus are under sanctions.
