Jakarta, Selular.ID – Chinese manufacturing giant Huawei has released the HarmonyOS system for its smartphones. As of now, more than 150 million Huawei and Honor smartphones already have this update. According to the company, as of December 2, 135 Huawei and Honor devices already had the official update.
Furthermore, another 6 devices are getting a public beta. Unfortunately, all the devices that get this update are in China. Global users are worried about when HarmonyOS will be available outside of China.
As quoted team Mobile phone from Gizchina, Derek Yu, head of Huawei’s consumer business in the region, said that global users will get HarmonyOS in 2022.
This is the first time a Huawei executive has spoken about the global launch of HarmonyOS. Currently, the company is releasing its upgraded EMUI 12 system for global users.
Apparently, global users will continue to use EMUI until next year. According to Huawei executives, after the migration from Android, the overall performance increased by 10%. It’s worth mentioning that HarmonyOS 3.0 is already in preview. Beta testing of this system will begin in the first quarter of next year.
Unfortunately, there is no mention of a specific date or month this update will arrive. Nevertheless, we hope to have more information in the coming weeks. The Chinese manufacturer may reveal more information soon.
