Volcano in Indonesia throws ash 15 km

Volcanic ash from Mount Semeru obscured the sun in two local areas. According to officials, there are no casualties yet and the evacuation continues.

Social media footage shows residents fleeing as a giant ash cloud rises behind them.

Meanwhile, the regulatory body has warned the airlines about the ash column, which rises to a height of 15 km.

The volcano, which rises 3676 m above sea level, previously erupted in January. Mount Semeru is one of the nearly 130 active volcanoes in Indonesia.
