Immigration authorities found 210 migrants in a truck in Central Mexico. There were men, women and children in the car. It is not yet clear from which country they came.
Authorities say the driver ignored a stop sign at a checkpoint in the state of Puebla. The truck was pulled over after a chase near Tecamachalco, about 200 kilometers east of Mexico City.
The occupants lay on cushions and homemade fans were provided. The condition of the migrants is unknown. The driver has been arrested.
More migrants in trucks
This is not the first time that large numbers of migrants have been found in trucks in Mexico. Two weeks ago, authorities found 600 people spread over two trucks in the state of Veracruz. And two years ago, almost 150 migrants arrested that were hidden in a trailer.
