WASHINGTON, KOMPAS.TV – US intelligence reports reveal that Russia is planning a military invasion of Ukraine.
Launch Associated PressThe intelligence report said the Kremlin could launch an invasion as early as 2022.
President Joe Biden also promised to prevent the military attack. He said he would make the situation “very, very difficult” for Vladimir Putin to attack Ukraine.
The first intelligence report released The Washington Post This said Russia wanted to field around 175,000 troops in preparation for the invasion.
Half of them will be posted along the Ukraine-Russia border.
A US official who spoke on condition of anonymity said the report also included plans to deploy 100 tactical battalions with armored vehicles, artillery and other equipment.

US intelligence also detected incessant Russian propaganda attacking Ukraine and NATO.
“We are aware of Russia’s actions for a long time and I suspect we will have a long discussion with Putin,” Biden said in response to the leaked intelligence report.
The top US official stressed that Russia’s move was certainly a preparation for invasion.
