MANCHESTER – Cristiano Ronaldo rumored to be on the bench when Ralf Rangnick becomes coach Manchester United. However, the German tactician gave a signal that he would still use the services of the Portuguese superstar as the first option.
CR7-Cristiano Ronaldo’s nickname-played brilliantly when Man United hosted Arsenal on Friday (12/3/2021) in the 2021-2022 Premier League continued. He became the hero of the Red Devils victory by scoring two goals, in which the match ended 3-2 at Old Trafford.
In that match, Rangnick could not accompany his team from the side of the field because he still had to solve his work visa problem. His role is still held by Michael Carrick, who after the match said goodbye as coach of Man United.

A few hours later, Rangnick held his first press conference as Man United coach. On that occasion he praised Ronaldo’s performance against Arsenal.

“You always have to adapt your style or idea of football to the players you have, not the other way around,” Rangnick said.
“After seeing Cristiano yesterday in the second half at the age of 36, he’s an incredible top player. At his age, I have never seen a player who is still physically fit. He’s still a player who can easily make the difference.”
