A more busy year in musical outings.
If you use Spotify, you may have noticed that the streaming platform is offering a retrospective of the past year in December. Number of minutes of listening, favorite songs and most popular musical styles, each user can discover his personal statistics.
But Spotify did not stop there and unveiled in each country a ranking of the most listened to songs and artists. In fact, unlike 2020, when the majority of artists had put their careers on hiatus due to the coronavirus, 2021 has been a productive year in the music industry. In Belgium, Justin Bieber is the most popular singer, followed by Dua Lipa and The Weeknd. In the rest of the ranking we find Ed Sheeran, Damso, David Guetta, Drake, Billie Eilish, Pop Smoke and Juice WRLD in last position.

French-speaking singers do not seem to be popular, since only the Belgian rapper Damso is included in this ranking. As for the most popular songs, it is the song by Lil Nas X – MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) which comes first. We reveal the rest of the ranking below.
