Manchester United have taken the next step out of the crisis thanks to two goals from record scorer Cristiano Ronaldo. In front of their upcoming German trainer Ralf Rangnick, the English record champions defeated Arsenal 3: 2 (1: 1) in the top game and stalked their way back to within two points of the international positions.
One day before the official Rangnick performance, Ronaldo once again became the man of the evening for the Red Devils. With his two goals (52nd and 70th), the Portuguese superstar made the decision in favor of ManUnited and broke the next career sound barrier with goals number 800 and 801 in official games. No footballer had scored 800 goals before him. Pele has scored 765 times, Lionel Messi has 756 goals so far.

Rangnick, who will experience his United premiere on the sidelines on Sunday at Crystal Palace (3 p.m. / Sky), saw a real football spectacle from the grandstand at Old Trafford. After Smith Rowe had put the guests in the lead (18th), ManUnited turned the game around with goals from Bruno Fernandes (44th) and Ronaldo.

After Martin Ödegaard’s 2-2 draw (55th), it was again Ronaldo who scored the acclaimed winning goal with a converted penalty. Manchester’s interim coach Michael Carrick, who had taken over from the dismissed team manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, remained unbeaten in his third and final assignment.
