Daniel Engeli Godø is chronically in love with a mysterious man

On Wednesday it became clear that it is Daniel Engeli Godø (30), Heidi Lereng (24) and Tonje Frigstad (21) who constitutes this autumn’s final program in «The Farm». On Sunday, the three will fight for two places in the grand finale. Finally, one of them can stretch his arms in the air and take the cabin and car home to the real world.

Godø is in the program after he won the side competition «Torpet» earlier this fall. But the “Farm” adventure began as far back as 2014 for the 30-year-old. At that time he smoked out after only two weeks, but he still got massive attention – after surprising himself, his friends and his family by to appear as gay on TV.

Met through Instagram

Just over seven years later, the “Farm” participant lives a happy life with his girlfriend Markus (24). The two met a little over two years ago, Godø reveals to Dagbladet.

– I met Markus when I was visiting Kongeparken in Ålgård. I saw him sitting … No, I’m just kidding. I simply met him on Instagram, we started chatting there. He’s a gamer and so am I, so then we started playing a bit together, he says.

Daniel and Markus are not cohabiting, but live just over 200 meters apart on St. Hanshaugen in Oslo. They are thus in no hurry to move together either.

– He lives in a nice apartment, while I do the same. So then we kind of do not bother when we live almost next to each other anyway.

“Mysterious” and camera cloud

Dagbladet has repeatedly inquired about the possibility of taking pictures of the couple together. It has been easier said than done.

– Tell us about your “mysterious” girlfriend, Daniel?

– That’s exactly it! I have a mysterious boyfriend that “no one” has seen. He is very camera shy. He is shy, but at the same time not shy at all. He is quite quirky and outgoing in his own way. “Private” is perhaps a better description, he says with a smile.

Sunnmøringen makes no secret of the fact that he is a very much in love man during the day.

– I am chronically in love with Markus. I could not find a better man! Oops, that was maybe a little sticky said? We have a very nice time together at least, says Godø, who even though he has a girlfriend on the outside, receives a lot of inquiries from both women and men as a consequence of a lot of TV time.

– I have received messages from some mothers, who send me pictures of their daughters and ask “can it not be you two?”. It’s very strange, but most people know that I have a boyfriend, and all the feedback has been positive.

– As a contact ad

Daniel Engeli Godø makes no secret of the fact that it has picked up considerably since he left “Torpet” and entered “Farmen”.

– The “Torpet” era felt very local in a way. It felt like it was just something most of my friends watched – and some outside of it. But it exploded when I entered “The Farm”, it became in a way more national. To put it mildly, I noticed that transition in my inbox.

– Are there many guys who try to “get hold” of you?

– Yes, it is. When I “came out of the closet” on TV in 2014, it was almost like a contact ad. It completely took off. But now it’s just nice, there are a lot of nice people who make contact. And then I have a girlfriend, and many people know that, says Farmen participant Daniel Engeli Godø to Dagbladet.
